I belong to a virtual breakfast club. We were discussing the importance of developing a written blueprint for our fitness and health. I shared that I had decided to add a list of non-negotiable items to my blueprint. The -idea caught on like wildfire. I wanted to share with you my non-negotiable list. What do you think?
Non-Negotiable Fitness Blueprint
1. Exercise 6 days per week at a minimum. Create a plan when travelling.
2. Be in charge of what I eat. I will not allow others to guilt or persuade me into eating things I don’t choose to eat.
3. Continue to learn about nutrition and fitness and incorporate the information into my lifestyle as appropriate.
4. Drink at least 80 oz of water per day.
5. Eat 30 to 35 grams of fiber per day.
6. Make my lifestyle more active as a whole: take the stairs, park further away, do fun active things rather than sedentary activities all of the time.
7. Ensure that I have an accountability partner at all times and communicate with them on at least a
weekly basis. Be honest and transparent.
8. Look for ways to incorporate fun into every aspect of my fitness lifestyle.
9. Forgive myself when I fail in my blueprint. Pick myself back up, and move on.
10. Be passionate about everything I do.
